Teacher guiding a young student at the classroom board

Teach with IES

Join a community of world-language educators building bridges through languages since 1982. IES teachers bring Spanish and Mandarin to K–8 students across the Bay Area, supported by our proven curriculum, hands-on training, and ongoing coaching. We accept applications all year and reach out to our talent pool first whenever a position opens.

Why Teach with IES

IES teachers don't teach alone. You join a team with a shared K–8 curriculum, a clear lesson structure, and leaders who were classroom teachers themselves. We look for educators who are fluent in Spanish or Mandarin, love working with children, and want to keep growing.

Training & Coaching

Onboarding in our Six-Step lesson framework, ready-to-teach curriculum, and a coach who observes, supports, and helps you grow.

Meaningful Work

Help young learners fall in love with a new language, in partner schools across the Bay Area. Part-time and full-time roles.

Join Our Talent Pool

We interview all year. We may not have an opening today, but when one comes up, we contact our talent pool first. Share your information and résumé link, and we will reach out when a position fits your availability.
